Thornless Blackberry - Yummy Fruit Loaded with Antioxidants!

These thornless blackberries are not as weedy as their feral cousins and far easier to prune and harvest. In my garden they ripen slightly earlier than the weedy blackberries. Blackberries have a lot of health benefits: the dark blue colour is a sign that blackberries are high in antioxidants, the berries have an anticancer effect are good for a healthy heart, digestive health and more.

Use Blackberry Leaves to Replace Black Tea and as Herbal Medicine:

Traditionally, blackberry leaves are used for their antimicrobal and antioxidant properties and are a classic remedy for diarrhea.

I have to try the following recipe, apparently it tastes like black tea: "Fermenting the blackberry leaves enhances their flavor and therapeutic effect. To ferment, crush slightly wilted blackberry leaves with a rolling pin. Wrap the leaves in a damp cloth and hang them in a warm place. After two or their days, the leaves will exude a rose-like scent. At this point, remove the leaves from the cloth and let them dry before using."

Medicinally, the root, the bark and the leaves was used as well
